Why do I need this medicine?
Betamethasone + Calcipotriol are combined together in this medicine.

This medicine is used to treat plaque psoriasis, a skin disorder characterized by thick, red patches of skin covered by thick, white or silvery scales.
How do I use this medicine?
Apply this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not apply more or less than instructed by your doctor.

Betamethasone + Calcipotriol is available as foam, gel, or ointment.

How to use the foam:
  1. Wash your hands.
  2. Shake the container for a few seconds before use.
  3. Spray onto the affected area and rub gently.
  4. Wash your hands after using.
How to use the gel:
  1.  Wash your hands.
  2. If you are using the bottle, shake it gently. If you are using the applicator, assemble it according to the instructions on the label prior to use.
  3. Apply to the affected area.
  4. Wash your hands after using.
If you are given the ointment, apply to the affected area. Wash hands before and after use.

Do not take a shower or a bath immediately after applying Betamethasone + Calcipotriol.
What should I do if I have forgotten to use this medicine?
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule. Do not apply more than what is instructed by the doctor to make up for the missed dose.
When should I not use this medicine?
Alert your doctor if you have the following conditions:
  • severe forms of psoriasis
  • calcium metabolism disorder
  • skin infections
  • rash around the mouth
  • thin or fragile skin
  • acne
  • ulcers or wounds
as this medicine may not be suitable for you.
What should I take note of while using this medicine?
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Avoid contact with eyes or mouth. Rinse immediately with water if this medicine gets into your eyes or mouth. Alert your doctor if you start to have any problems with your eyes.

Do not use with occlusive dressing unless instructed by the doctor.

Do not apply on that is broken or infected. Do not apply on skin that is discharging fluid or pus.

Do not apply Betamethasone + Calcipotriol on your face, groin, or armpits unless instructed by your doctor to do so.

Do not apply on large areas of the skin.
What side effects could I experience?
Betamethasone + Calcipotriol may cause any of the following side effects: severe itching, burning sensation, skin irritation, and increased sensitivity of the skin to light. Apply sunscreen when going outdoors and avoid direct or prolonged exposure to sunlight and UV lamps.

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Can I use this with other medicines?
Let your doctor know if you are using any other creams, ointments or other medicines on the affected area.

Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
How should I store this medicine?
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
